Requirements
Minimum Age
Minimum age of 10 (10–14) years old qualify for Junior Open Water)
Good health
Good health; a medical questionnaire is required
Course Duration
About 3 days, combining theory sessions with confined and open-water practice (up to 14 meters / 42 feet)
Day 1
- Theory class and introduction to scuba gear
- Basic diving physics and physiology
- Safety rules and proper gear handling
Day 2
- Confined water practice
- Buoyancy control
- Regulator and mask use
- Emergency procedures and underwater communication
Day 3
- Open water dives
- Gradual descent to a maximum of 14 meters
- Review of learned skills
- Exploration of local reefs
Certification
Upon completing the course and meeting all requirements, you’ll receive a physical and digital license valid worldwide for life, issued by SDI (Scuba Diving International).
